SMITH, CHESTER "SMITTY"
CARYLE, 88, of Louisville, was born February 6, 1922 to
the late Cora Mae and Riley Smith of Louisville and
returned to his Heavenly Father April 4, 2010.
Mr. Smith was a retired power house operator for Seagram
Distillery with 42 years of service, an Air force
veteran of World War II, a member of Briargate
Presbyterian Church, Plumb Masonic lodge #862 and the
Scottish Rite.
Among those who preceded him in death besides his
parents, include his beloved wife of 64 ½ years, Imogene
Middleton Smith.
He leaves to cherish his memory his son, Ronald Lee
Smith; granddaughter, Carrie Smith Sponheimer; and a
special friend, Mary Smiley.
His funeral will be Wednesday at noon at Owen Funeral
Home, 5317 Dixie hwy. Burial is in Louisville Memorial
Gardens West. Visitation is Tuesday from 2-8 p.m. and
after 9 a.m. on Wednesday.
