WADDELL, CARL
JR., 81, of Louisville, passed away surrounded by his
family Sunday, July 4, 2010 at the VA Medical Center.
He was a native of Elizabethtown, KY, a U.S. Navy
veteran of World War II, a member of Valley Station
Baptist Church, and Plumb Masonic Lodge. He had retired
from DuPont in 1985 with the design division, he also
was the co-owner of Waddell/Pippin Heating & Air. He
loved fishing with his grandchildren, and winters in
Florida with his wife.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Beth
Waddell; parents, Carl Sr. and Nellie Waddell; and
sisters, Jean, June and Ramona.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Nola Jean
(Herron) Waddell; two daughters, Terry Dunn (Jack) and
Lisa Fulton (Dennis); granddaughter, Amanda Abbott
(Jason); grandsons, Dereck and Brent Dunn and Aaron
Sullivan; great-granddaughter, Kaila Poole; and several
nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family would like to thank the staff at the VA
Medical Center for their care and compassion.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday at the
Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Hwy., with burial in
Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be 1-8
p.m. Wednesday. |
